Think!Chinatown's Tuan Yuan 團圓 Homecoming Box
We’re so pleased to be partnering with longtime friend and non-profit arts organization Think!Chinatown on their Tuan Yuan 團圓 Homecoming Box. Not only is it chock full of goodies, supplies, and gifts that pair with their wonderful virtual Lunar New Year programming, the proceeds will go directly toward their upcoming projects so they can continue their work of storytelling, arts, and neighborhood engagement.

Think!Chinatown Lunar New Year Virtual Programming
Think!Chinatown is bringing the party home this year with their robust line-up of virtual Lunar New Year activities, including a tea tasting and talk, workshops on papercutting, storytelling pop-up art, how to make tang yuan, a traditional Chinese New Year dessert, and fa gao, or “prosperity cake” (the materials of which can be found in their Tuan Yuan 團圓 Homecoming Box) and a vinyl livestream party with DJ YiuYiu. While the programming is free or pay-as-you-wish, the proceeds go directly to help non-profit Think!Chinatown support their mission to build a stronger, more resilient Chinatown.

DIY Lunar New Year Decorations at Chelsea Market
Come make your own Lunar New Year decorations at Chelsea Market. Materials and instructions will be provided in the area in front of our retail store on the main floor of the market. Over the course of two weeks, you’ll have the chance to learn how to make an origami ox envelope, ox bookmark, Chinese lantern, good luck character banner, paper fan, firecrackers, and lucky red envelopes. All ages welcome.

Museum Of Chinese In America’s Lunar New Year Virtual Family Festival
Happy Lunar New Year’s Eve! We’ll be celebrating on Feb. 11 with our MOCA family via their virtual Lunar New Year Family Festival. Enjoy zodiac arts and crafts, lively dance performances, and timeless tales inspired by Chinese and Chinese American New Year’s traditions.

Lunar New Year Lion Dancing and Special Outdoor Meal at Chelsea Market, hosted by Pearl River Mart Foods and Very Fresh Noodles
Enjoy a special Lunar New Year menu of noodles, baos, kimbap, dessert and bubble tea from Very Fresh Noodles and Pearl River Mart Foods’ featured vendors, Mao’s Bao, Kimbap Lab, and Tea & Milk. With reserved heated outdoor seating, diners will be in a prime comfortable viewing spot for a showstopping performance by renowned lion dance troupe, the incomparable Wan Chi Ming Hung Gar Institute Dragon and Lion Dance Team.
